Customer Korablik is a store chain specializing in goods for children. Nowadays the chain includes 30 stores situated in Moscow and Moscow Region. Assortment of goods contains about 10 thousand items. The company’s turnover has been gaining 30% annually for the last 3 years. Task In view of business extension the company needed to implement a corporate ERP-system. To minimize risks connected with its implementation and describe business-processes to be automatized, the Korablik company required a consultation on drafting of corporate information system model. After a number of meetings with contractors the customer chose the Microsoft Dynamics Ax ERP-system. To start project implementation the company needed to work out a concept of complex company automatization. Specialists of the trade network applied to the Andersen Company for consulting project implementation. The Andersen solution The Andersen specialists held a number of meetings with the customer’s representatives. Top- and medium-level managers as well as experts were invited to the meetings. In the course of the meetings special attention was paid to processes of supply, distribution and product sales record. These very processes were to undergo direct automatization and to contain minimal concealed risks. The obtained information allowed us to visualize the company’s current business-processes and define requirements of the trade network employees to their automatization. The next stage was to compile maps of business processes in IDEF0 notation which later were passed to the corporate partner for the Microsoft Dynamics Ax ERP-system introduction. Project results The project implementation proceeded alongside with Korablik reorganization. Nevertheless company automatization concept prepared by the Andersen specialists allowed the partner’s introduction team to arrange prompt software installation and adjustment in accordance with all the customer’s requirements. Resources The team implementing the project consisted of 3 specialists. Project duration – 6 months. |
