| DEVELOPMENT OF SOFTWARE FOR CONSULTING PROJECT MANAGEMENT | ||||||||||

Customer Russian company rendering services in the sphere of managerial consulting to oil-producing, construction engineering and pharmaceutical companies in Russia and abroad. Task The customer needed new software which could become a competitive advantage in relation to similar systems of their rivals. To manage a project, in which you have to control thousands of options that influence the result simultaneously, you require reliable and easy-to-handle instrument. Current company’s software no more corresponded the criteria. The representatives of the consultancy decided to apply to the Andersen Company for the new system development. The Andersen Solution Our specialists held a number of interviews with the company’s staff, gathered requirements and drew up technical specification for the software. For the best achievement of set goals our specialists previously simulated the system. It allowed to work at key procedure of programming solution in action, to optimize requirements of future users and reduce terms of consequent development stage. Consultancies deal with development of various projects for companies acting in different sectors of economy, including management accounting formation, introduction of business-processes, company’s value assessment. It predetermined the key feature of the system development: the software, on the one hand, had to be quite abstractive to be successfully used for description of various consulting projects, but on the other hand it had to automatize common operating activities. For example, to present information in plan/actual profile, consolidate and publish reports according to a chosen set of criteria. Modern technologies allowed substantial reduction in efforts when developing the application in the process of project implementation.
